Three Shades of Vintage

These were such fun to make - take some bits of plain card in shades of cream and white, and turn them into something beautiful.  Lots of embossing, stamping, inking, die cutting and waxing involved, and the addition of some lace and flowers made these very special cards.  I'd love to hear your comments on these or any of the other projects on my blog, so please click on the comments link at the bottom of the post.  Thanks for taking the time to look at my projects.

Christmas in July Photos

I completely forgot to post photos of the projects from my Christmas in July event.  I had 3 projects on offer - woodgrain and stockings card, surfing Santa card, and cute bottle tag.  I think everyone enjoyed themselves, and the mulled wine was going down a treat (non-alcoholic though - I didn't want any wonky stamping!).  It was a lovely festive way to spend a day with crafty friends.

Some of the supplies we used are discontinued now, but that's okay, when it comes to Christmas I use whatever I have that goes with what's in my head.  And it's good to get the old favourites out for an airing.  There will be more  Christmas workshops coming up now we're in the second half of the year, so watch out for the posts.

Say it with flowers

I love, love, love this stamp set and matching punch.  With a little paper piecing and water colouring you can produce endless beautiful cards in any colour scheme you like.  I made a cute slim matching box, so these could be a lovely gift for someone.  But I will be making lots more to send to people - who wouldn't want to get one of these happy little note cards.
