Country Harvest

We felt as though we were really out in the country with these cards.  Gorgeous old fashioned jugs and milk churns, coloured with Blends, or paper pieced, and filled with wildflowers or autumn foliage.  Easy to choose different colour schemes and papers to suit your own taste.  Could you guess that the check background is actually a stamp?  And I love, love, love the tin tile embossing folder, it was perfect for this project.  Add a bit of twine and some tiny tags, and you have some fabulous cards to send.  My favourite is the blue and white one - because blue is my favourite colour!

Family and Friends

Oh my goodness, I'm in love with this stamp set!  You get men and women, boys and girls, baby, dog, cat, lots of hairstyles, beards, tie, glasses, stripes - so many elements to make up a picture of your own family.  I used mine to practice with, of course.

You can see in the close up below that I painted some elements using aqua painters and Stampin' Up! inks (which are water based and therefore perfect for water colouring).  You don't need to be an artist to do these, it's very simple.  I also paper pieced two of the dresses - a great way to use up tiny scraps of precious papers.  So many possible variations.

Needless to say I will likely be making lots of these as gifts.
