Just Magnolias

How gorgeous are these magnolias?  So many different ways to use the stamps and matching dies with the coordinating papers to make beautiful cards for all occasions.  A few different techniques used on these cards, including embossing in gold and then painting with white craft ink.  Sponge daubers and blends were used to add colour to the stamped images.  The cute little treat box is quickly made using a die, and then tying one of the small flowers on as a tag.  The die does come with some adorable little stitched shaped die tags too.  It looks tiny but amazingly there are 6 toffees in this one!  We used gold twine, pearls and gemstones to add a bit more interest to the cards, but really these blooms are just stunning on their own.  This is definitely a set we will use again, we all loved it.

In the Frame

These are just the best fun to make.  Take some ordinary tissue paper, a selection of ink pads and embossing powders, and you can create these stunning cards in any colour combination that takes your fancy - I did use some retired ink pads because I like the colours.  This technique is easier than you think, and quite addictive - I had to remind myself I only needed to make three samples ready for the workshop, and not a whole pile of cards for my own stash.  Click the link to my Facebook page to check out everyone's cards - they are truly stunning and all unique.

Stampin' Up! Christmas Catalogue coming very soon

I don't think any words are needed to describe how excited I get when it's time to see all the new festive goodies.  My wish list is basically the whole catalogue, but I had to narrow it down for my first order due to my lotto numbers not coming up as anticipated!

My pre-order has arrived, so I have lots of the products for my customers and friends to see, and try out.  I will have to be patient until after 4 September before I can order further quantities of some of my favourite things - if I say "sequins" you'll know they're very special ones.

Oh Deer!

The first real Christmas workshop of the year.  Three stunning monochrome cards featuring gorgeous deer stamps and die cuts.  The trees are embossed with the new shimmery white embossing powder - it's absolutely stunning so sparkly.  The other backgrounds are embossed to give them a bit of texture.  Add some ribbon and a few sparkles, and you've got three cards for your Christmas stash already.  Now who will be lucky enough to receive one of these?
