Painting with Opals

We had great fun using these opal polish paints to add shimmer to embossed cardstock.  A deep embossed image, and a light touch of polish makes a beautiful background to add a few embellishments to.  The magic of these paints is that they turn out different colours on light and dark cardstock - we only used two colours of paint to create these stunning cards,

It's in the Bag

This week we made a lovely little gift set with a lovely paper tote bag and three coordinating cards.  The stems and little flowers were stamped before the background was embossed with the brick embossing folder.  The flowers were stamped and punched, the petals were pinched for a bit of texture, and they were all glued to a plain matching punched flower. We added sparkly gems to the centres, some nice sentiments, and the set was complete.

Watch the Birdie

I just love this stamp set, especially the little birds on the branch.  Nice relaxing bit of colouring in using Stampin' Blends, a little bit of embossing and die cutting, and we'd completed these gorgeous cards.  The papers are beautiful, and the colours are stunning.  Everyone loved these - they'll be getting sent to special people I think.
